Le violoncelliste Josetxu Obregón consacre ce nouvel enregistrement à un panorama historique de la musique pour violoncelle seul. Des origines italiennes avec Vitali, Galli, Colombi jusqu’au miracle des Suites de Bach légendaires. D’ailleurs les œuvres de Bach sont également présentées par Obregon, d’une manière inhabituelle : un mouvement de danse de chacune des suites de Bach est placé, pour comparer en le style, entre les œuvres de son anthologie italienne.
